No. MIT Stock Manager is 100% offline-first. It runs directly on your Windows PC or laptop. Even if your internet is completely disconnected or wifi drops, your cashier can scan barcodes, print receipts, and manage stock with zero delay.
You can define pieces per box or carton (e.g. 24 pcs per carton). When you purchase 10 cartons from a distributor, the system automatically books 240 pieces into stock. When you sell 1 box or 2 loose pieces at the counter, the system automatically adjusts the stock accurately without any manual math.
Yes! This is a native feature. If a bill is Rs. 10,000, the customer can pay Rs. 4,000 in cash and Rs. 6,000 via digital bank/card. The software records both channels separately, updates the cash register by Rs. 4,000 and the bank balance by Rs. 6,000, and prints both tenders on the customer receipt.
For registered customers, MIT Stock Manager detects overpayments and asks whether to refund the cash or deposit it into the customer's ledger wallet credit. If deposited, the credit is safely stored and can be redeemed automatically during subsequent purchases.
